Hey there everybody,
Sorry I've been so quiet of late, I've been very busy. Busy with things that hopefully I will be sharing with you here later on, but that at the moment I am still working on.
The good news is that I have been able to write again lately; seems the 'on/off' switch in my head was switched back 'on' by the last med cocktail change (anyone who thinks that being bipolar is something to joke about has never tried living with it...believe you me) and so I'm trying to focus while I can and write.
If only this creative energy can hold out through NaNoWriMo...yes, I am jumping back into that again this year with both feet (or head first, either way works!) But this post is about something else!
Karen DeLabar, writer, mother of small and adorable children, all around great person, won a nearly fatal battle against Toxic Shock Syndrome earlier this year. She's an inspiration, and one thing that she should not have to be worrying about after all of this is the cost of the treatment that saved her life.
Alas, such is the world we live in.
So a group of her friends have gotten together and planned an anthology to try to raise funds to help defray some of these expenses.
Of course, I had to send something in, even if it doesn't make the final cut into the anthology at least I've shown my support! This is a great chance to submit to an anthology with the potential to do so much good.
All the info can be found here: http://orangekaren.wordpress.com/
Submissions are being accepted until December 15th.
Get inspired by the color orange and get to it!
I hope you're all doing well. I think of you all more than you know!
