I really can't talk about it. I can't write about it, at least not yet. I'm still too much in it all to cope with either.
I did, however, write this while in the midst of his twelve day hospice journey, which seemed an eternity.
In loving memory of W.G. (April 1941-October 24, 2015)
Warrior's Rest
gallant warrior, lay down your shield
surrender arms and battle cries
the fighting now has ended.
surrender arms and battle cries
the fighting now has ended.
the war is lost yet freedom won
lie down in blooming fields
find your peace beyond the night
as we must find our healing.
